In a short while television will be dominated by the grunt-fest that is Wimbledon. Short skirts, grunting ladies, monsters in disguise… and some that are not! Anyway, I thought I’d set up a mini-league fantasy tennis team for those who are interested. It’s free, it’s a bit of fun and it might add a bit of spice to the early summer evenings as you cheer on your team.

If you fancy having a go, it’s very simple. First go to this website and register: Tennis for free dream team. You will have a virtual £50 million to spend on a men’s dream team and another £50 million to spend on ladies. Give your team a name and you are all set. To enter your team into the Trapped by Monsters mini-league, you will then need to click on ‘My Group’ and select ‘join a group’. To join the Trapped by Monsters mini-league, cut and paste this monster password into the password slot – 05aae0a4f551bc000f74d7d096371bf7 and you’re set. Let’s see who can pick the most successful team.

You don’t need to know anything about tennis to do this. Pick at random if you wish, but do try to spend as much of the money as you can, or you’ll probably miss out on the value players. Also, you might want to look at the draw before the tournament starts to check and see which rounds your players might meet in. You can adjust your team until Sunday, but then your picks are set in concrete. The draw is being made tomorrow and will be available to view here. Our mini-league average score will be measured against all the other mini-leagues and will feature in a league table, as will our individual teams.
