Right, I know I’m a week late with this but it’s better than being a month late, yes? And this time last week I was looking forward to the Royal Mail Awards ceremony at the Tramway Theatre in Glasgow. Our own Barry Hutchison was going to be there, scrubbed up after languishing in the caves so long, and though the Monsters didn’t let him wear his promised Smurf outfit, he looked very respectable. I also looked reasonably respectable, by the way, once I got the cobwebs and drool out of my hair.
And as you know by now, because he’s better at posting than I am, our Barry WON! Hooray! There were extra rations of snot-ade that night. But I want to honour Barry for another reason. You see, he’s very scared of clowns. And the event was – ta-da – circus-themed! However, he was extremely brave, and did not faint. And now I’m going to post a link that will prove to you exactly why this is not a phobia, because a phobia is an irrational fear, and there is NOTHING irrational about being scared of clowns.
Do not click this link if you are faint-hearted. Erm, come to think of it: do not click this link if you are Barry Hutchison, award-winning author of the terrifying MR MUMBLES…
