This is a mutant from a film made in the 1950s called This Island Earth. I remember it being on TV every Saturday afternoon (in reality it was probably only on once or twice but it always seemed to be on). Even though I saw it several times, I can only remember the cool mutant that lurked outside  waiting for unsuspecting victims. What was scary was that everyone knew it was out there, just itching to get in. Or that’s how I remember it!
