My half-day release pass clutched, damply, in my hand, I visited Danes Hill School on Monday to meet their delightful Year 2. I was intending to present them with the tidy-and-smart and glossy-and-professional poster I’d prepared specially. Unfortunately, the Clumsies got at it first. You can imagine my embarrassment, second only to my embarrassment here as I realise I’m not sure how to spell embarrassment. (Yes, it’s OK now because I checked it.) Fortunately, everyone rallied round and a lovely time was had by all, especially me. Thank you to all of Danes Hill Year 2 and to Lucy Keat.
