Gladstone’s Library

I managed to escape the caves recently, and spent a wonderful day at Gladstone’s Library in Flintshire, working with a group of primary school teachers on techniques to help boys get into writing.  In addition to being a sumptuous setting for an enjoyable day of workshops, I was also lucky enough to spend the night in the library’s accommodation and chat with some of the writers who were also staying there, seeking inspiration for their own novels.

It’s an incredible place, and I hope to go back again soon – if I can get out of the caves again, that is…

    Woooow. So beautiful! And you just know there’s a secret hidden doorway behind one of those bookshelves that leads to a parallel dimension where magic exists.
