The monsters are letting me out of the caves to battle HIVE author, Mark Walden, this Sunday at the BATH FESTIVAL OF CHILDREN’S LITERATURE! Of course, they’re doing it just so I can handout some exclusive TRAPPED BY MONSTER author cards – so come along and claim yours!
Between 4-5 pm I’ll be fighting Mark onstage, arguing (and proving!) why HERO.COM has the best superheroes in the world – but it’s up to the audience… and the monsters lurking in disguise… to decide who will win.

Yeah, I’m fascinated to hear who won as well. I’ve taken on Mark twice – the score between us is one all at the moment.
I think he’s scared of taking me on again.
Getting the ‘hero’ side to win over the ‘villain’ side is incredibly difficult. I resorted to blatant mockery to earn my one victory. It didn’t work so well the second time round.

Alas… hero-kind lost…
I was doing well, I think the audience were swayed – until one bright-spark in the crowd (I suspect a monster in disguise) asked: “If I think heroes have all the fun, then why do I also write a series of books about villains?”
I froze… no witty comments came to mind… I was hoisted, and slapped, by my own petard…
