The caves are abuzz. The Autumn issue of the monster fashion and lifestyle bible BOGUE magazine has just arrived, with all the very latest hot new looks for the coming season. Soon every truly sharp-dressed monster-about-town – or the ones with two arms, two legs and one head, anyway – will (apparently) be wearing THIS:
As you can see, this is a ‘retro’ look. Very retro, in fact: it’s from Le Livre de la Vigne Nostre Seigneur, “probably produced in the early 1460s.” There’s a copy at The Bodleian Library.
As anyone who’s met me will doubtless testify, fashion’s, ahem, not really my thing. But even I can see that the orange shorts of the dude on the right in the middle row are pretty damn stylish.

Aah – yes, I’d heard that horns, frayed tails and backscratchers were in vogue on the Paris catwalks this autumn – and Kate Moss has been wearing one of those ‘there’s an alien in my clawed open gut’ belts. They cost £1,500 though, so I might have to make do with a cheap knock off…
