So, what have Mark and Baz done to be exempt from this nightmare? I’ve long suspected Baz has been brown-nosing – especially with that big, hairy monster in the canteen, Brown-Nose…

I’m Monster’s Pet at the moment for posting three times in a day! What I want to know is how Sam sees to write in his cave? Has he got infra red built into those glasses of his? At least I have a couple of torches burning in my cell.

The ‘f’ and ‘j’ keys on most standard English keyboards have little raised bumps on ‘em. If you know how to touch-type, then once you’ve got your first fingers on those you can type in the dark, no problem.
Learn to touch-type, folks! It’s even more useful than you might expect. ;)

Do you know – in all seriousness – I have never learned to touch type, but have always wished I could. I’ve tried all those Mavis Beacon type programs, but just don’t seem to get along with them. Maybe I should have another go…

Have you tried playing Sega’s THE TYPING OF THE DEAD? It’s a few years old now but it’s absolutely brilliant: Sega adapted their own (classic) House of the Dead games so that instead of being armed with guns, you’ve got…. bullet-firing keyboards! The zombies and monsters come charging out at you with little signs round their necks saying things like ‘truly’ and ‘piano’. You have to type the words (thus blasting said beasties into gooey chunks) before they munch your brains. It’s totally surreal, enormous fun, and if you play it for long enough you’ll find you can touch-type. Awesome!
